Vad vet man?

Minutrarna gick men ingen kom. Magasin töms, handgranater kastas, och luftförstärning kallas in.

Is Greece a medieval society?
Noone living in Sweden can have missed the news about the swedish woman who was raped in Greece and then charged with falsely accusing a man.
The swedish media is outraged about this violation of "human rights" as they wish to see it. And when the Swedish media get outraged, so does the Swedes. At least the big majority that have not yet grasped that they are not telling us the truth. Just their interpretation of it.
Her swedish lawyer Gunilla Von Wachenfeldt says that the Greek allegations are based on an incident during her interrogation without an interpreter. I thought she filed the report in Sweden? And what was the incident? I still have not seen one single swedish reporter ask that question.
Eva Britt Svensson
A woman has been falsly accused, man all battlestations!
A woman says she is being falsly accused of being a false accuser. And the shit hits the fan, as it always does when a woman is treated unfairly in Sweden. It becomes a diplomatic crises. The media is appalled, the Swedish politicians almost shit themselves in anger. Eva Britt Dahlström, European parliament president for women' s rights have gone to the EU commission and are talking about contacting the Greek government on behalf of the woman. A greek diplomat gets fired for writing his oponion on how swedish women behave abroad.
Svenska dagbladet writes that the Greeks lie, there is no such thing as a rape insurance. That is a good example of the media writing "half truths". No there is no rape insurance as such, but there is however a special insurance that you can add to your home insurance. And that will give a woman over a 100 000 SEK for just reporting a rape when vacationing abroad. Swedish insurance companies Folksam and Trygg Hansa spoke about this all ready back in 2006, saying it was becoming a growing problem. "Since the rape laws were made more severe in 2005, the insurance claims have doubled" says Claes Caroli on Trygg Hansa. And reports of rape from women on vacation was between 5-10 a year according to this article.
Now the same companies says it's only 1-2 cases a year? That should be great news? It must mean that Greek men have become much less prone to rape. Why are so many talking about boycotting Greece then?
Is Sweden the country to talk about human rights?
A swedish woman made 8 000 000 SEK in a insurance scam
And in England a man still sits incarsorated waiting to be brought to Sweden on a rapecharge that everyone with half a brain now understand is a perfect example of false accusations.
Not by the women however, they didn't even understand themselves they had been raped until their lawyer told them so. Now he is Internationally wanted by the Swedish law. The Swedish prosecutor issued an arrest warrant with a red flag. Apparently the one issued for Moammar Khadaffi is only orange. Hypocrisy anyone?
If Anna is a real victim of rape she should stand next to us falsely accused on the barricades. There is a reason Swedish women like Anna have lost their credibility. If you cry wolf too many times noone will come. Maybe Anna and feminist media should focus on that for once? Or do they honestly believe that there aren't any women that abuse our system of trust? According to sources within the Swedish police, as many as eight out of ten rape accusations are made up! Thats 80 percent!
But instead they are directing their hatred against men as the Greek diplomat for just saying out loud what needs to be said. Women that stoop so low as reporting an innocent man should be ashamed. They are the real reason Anna is doubted, not a Greek diplomat or the Greek government. Who doesn't agree?
The world need more parents
Unicef says "for every kid", but they always seem to forget quite a large group
Every year in April UNICEF launches a big campaign to raise money in Sweden. They call it "For every kid". They make flashy TV ads and broadcast them around the clock. Big advertisements in the press, a huge tent in the middle of Stockholm where the punters can meet the celebrities that are working as UNICEF ambassadors.
But UNICEF has never done a single thing to help my child that lost her father after false abuse accusations against him. Rather the opposite. If you Google UNICEF and "mens violence" (in Swedish and brackets) you get 3 150 hits. If you then change "mens violence" to "fatherless", you get 24. And none of them are from the organisation itself. If you google the words "effects of losing a parent" you get 160 million hits. In Sweden that is the reality for hundreds of thousands of children. My daughter is just one of these children that gets abused with total impunity. What about them UNICEF? Why don't you include my daughter in "Every kid"?
I am sure that UNICEF does a lot to help children, especially in the dirt poor contries, and I applaud that. But my child has been made fatherless by exactly the type of propaganda that UNICEF is spreading with some of all the money people are giving. Tell me, why should I buy a UNICEF pin and put on my jacket? Why would I support an organisation that enables exactly the kind of abuse my child is subjected to?
Why should I become a world parent when I am not even allowed to be a father to my own child? And if the world needs more parents, why won´t UNICEF start by seeing to it that the ones who really want to be parents and are highly qualified, are allowed to?
These are truly honest questions and I would really appreciate an answer from someone within the organisation. At least it doesn't hurt to ask.
31,9 percent of respondents agreed with Assange
April 18, 2011
Source: Legally yours
Wikileaks-founder Julian Assange is very critical of how the Swedish authorities have handled the investigation of sex crimes charges against him. He is supported by one-third of the lawyers who responded to a questionnaire.
Swedeish legal magazine Legally Yours magazine in its latest issue, asked swedish lawyers what they think about the Swedish legal system's handling of the Julian Assange, accused of rape and sexualassault in connection with a visit to Sweden last year.
A legal system that have derailed
31,9 percent of Swedish lawyers critical
Assange and his counsel have directed strong criticism against the Swedish legalsystem, which among other things
has not given Assange full access to the evidence,
leaked his identity to the media, '
not translated the evidence into English and ¨
Did not administer the european arrest warrant in a correct way
let a police who was friends with one of the accusers receive the notification.
Almost one-third, 31.9 percent of the participants in Legally Yours survey responded that they agreed with the Assanges criticism.
That is pretty alarming numbers.
The survey has gone out via the web to 9176 lawyers and 2221 responded, a responserate of 24 percent.
Björn Hurtig: Our system is buildt this way
Julian Assange's Swedish lawyer Björn Hurtig is interviewed in the Magazine, where he states that his own views on the Swedish legal system has not changed during the work on the Assange case.
"The problems I have encountered in this case are not in any way new to me. Our legal system is buildt in this way. A suspect isn't entitled to hardly any information about what is revealed in an ongoing investigation.
One thought that this case has woken in me however, is that Sweden have a somewhat strange attitude towards peoples right to freedom. We allow people to get arrested and jailed for long periods of time, without a trial and on very loose grounds. Deep down I believe it is due to a basic view regarding peoples right to freedom, and that that right is more deeply rooted in countries like England."
Sweden and the US disrespect human rights
"The swedish legal system is almost in total decay"
Some quotes from lawyers both pro and anti the Swedish handling of the case are given in the article. Here are some examples:
"When taken into account how hunted Assange is by certain countries, it wouldn't strike me as odd if there have been things going on behind the scenes in this case".
"Assange would say anything to avoid responsibility for what he is being accused of, instead of taking it as a man. If he was innocent he wouldn´t fight this hard to avoid extradition".
"The Swedish legal system have many flaws, and is mainly upheld by the court officers own moral instead of on the laws as it should be".
"Assange as a public person will have to tolerate to end up in the media spotlight when faced with a possible suspicion of a crime"
"The Swedish legal system is almost in total decay when it comes to sexcrimes. The bizarre gender theories have been allowed to play a way too high influence over the appliers of law"
"Exaggerated. Underneath lies his fear of extradition to the US. At the same time it seems like the crime is a bagatelle. There is no way they will convict him on rape on what's been presented. So a little agility would certainly be welcome"
Reported sexcrime in Sweden 1975-2005
"From a public point of view it seems suspicious to first drop the charges, them reopen the case with another prosecutor in charge"
"Swedens legal system may not be perfect, but there is a thought behind all Swedish justice. Errors in the administration is mainly due to human errors. People make mistakes, and our ambition is to learn from them. You shoudn't be too hasty to criticise others for their work. You do as well you can under the circumstances. The goal is of course to do as well as possible, which of course is also a goal for the swedish justice".
Mrs Justice is peaking in Sweden
1 out of three lawyers don't trust in our legal system!!
This is a sure sign that something is seriously wrong. Sweden is the country in the EU that sends most men to prison for sexcrimes. Only beaten in Europe by Lithuania.
At the same time Sweden is the country in Europe where the feminist ideology has gone farther than any other country. Still the people responsible for law and order absolutely refuse to admit there is a connection. They must think we are total idiots?
Estimations says that as many as 1000 men or more are sent innocently to jail. That would mean that 20 percent!! of every man serving time has not done what he was convicted for. The chance to get a retrial in Sweden is less than one percent. And that is even if new evidence turns up.
Alleged victims have sometimes come forward, riddled by guilt and confessed they lied about the accusations. In one case the daughter that was said to have been raped over a 100 times by her father even went and did a gyn exam showing she was still a virgin, And begged them to let her father out. The father was denied a new trial. The prosecutor on the case said "well he could have just entered a centimeter or so".
In other words, not only do you stand a high risk of getting locked away for very long. Once you have been, there is no way of getting out. Swedens worst "serialkiller" Tomas Quick has managed to get a retrial and so far been acquitted in two of the murders he was convicted for. 6 to go.
By now most people understand that this gut have spent most of his life locked up, without commiting a singel murder. Framed by a corrupt prosecutor Christer Van Der Kwast, working together with the police Seppo Pentinän, who hid 13 full folders with freeing evidence, the chief psychologist Birgitta Ståhle, who subjected Tomas to regressioen therapy to unlock hidden memories, and perhaps the worst of the all. Tomas defense attourney!! (yes you heard correctly) to put this former poor delusional drug addict away for life. Convicted of 8 murders, and not a single evidence. As long as he kept confessing, the police and the psychiatrists kept feeding him the drugs he needed.
You would think that any decent lawyer would have had a field days with this absolutely redicoulouscase, but Tomas Quicks Lawyer instead colluded with the prosecutor to make sure his client would be convicted?? His explanation: Well..he wanted to be convicted, and I have to follow my clients will.
Christ the guy was kept heavily sedated with Stesolid, Xanor, and god knows what ellse. If he refused to confess, or didn't further incriminate himself, his drugges were revoked. These are some of the most addictive drugs ever made.
Tomas Quicks lawyers name? Claes Borgström. Does it sound familiar?
The guy that eventually helped Tomas Quick was a reporter at SVT by the name of Hannes Råstam. He made three absolutely fascinating documentaries about the case. You just cant believe your eyes watching them. I have only seen the first two though. The third one was censored by the state review board for a reason noone really uinderstand.
This is Swedens probably worst justice debacle ever. That doesn't mean though its the only one. No far from it.
This will teach you not mess with swedish girls
Another Swedish state feminist myth can now be debunked thanks to the reader "Diogenes Sinope" that sent me some research he or she had done. It's true that while Sweden may have a much higher percentage of reported rapes, we are still not convicting more people for it. Right? Wrong!
We often get to hear that Sweden does not have a good record of prosecuting rape cases, but this is not borne out by the statistics.
Sweden has a very high number of reported rapes: 46.5 per 100,000 members of the population, which is far above all other European countries. Sweden surpasses Iceland, with 36, and England (including Wales), with 26.
There is some debate about the reason for these high figures, but most people accept that it is not because Swedish men are particularly prone to rape, and getting more and more prone to it as the years pass. Rather, the probable explanation is that Swedish women are more likely to report rape.
What is not often highlighted is the fact that Sweden still manages to achieve convictions in a relatively large proportion of rape cases.
Based on 2007 figures, Sweden’s rape convictions per head of population were three or four times above the European average. In other words, Sweden convicted men of rape three or four times more often than the European average. That’s pretty high!
Believe it or not
Swedish men three times more prone to rape than the Brittish
Analysing some more recent statistics from 2009 confirms this. The figures show that in Sweden there are 46.5 reports of rape per 100,000 members of the population, while in England there are 26 reports of rape. Sweden has a conviction rate of 10% - that is, 10% of reported rapes result in a conviction. England, by contrast, has a conviction rate of 6% (see Stern Review of Rape Reporting, page 43)
That means that in Sweden 4.65 people are convicted of rape per 100,000 members of the population, while in England only 1.56 are convicted. So,Sweden has almost three times more rape convictions than England per head of population.
Or could there be another explanation?
How has Sweden managed to achieve this, when it is notoriously difficult to prosecute rape cases? Are Sweden’s police and prosecutors especially efficient? They might be, but still, the problems of prosecuting rape are the same the world over – in particular the lack of evidence apart from the word of the alleged victim.
Is it worth the risk?
The most likely explanation for Sweden’s impressive performance is that it is simply easier to convict for rape in Sweden because the burden of proof has been placed so low. The word of the accuser alone is often enough to convict, which has obviously resulted in a high number of people being found guilty.
Finally a big thanks to "Sinope" for todays post and a word of advice to male foreigners visiting our country. Do not engage in any heterosexual activities while you are here. You stand a good chanse of ending up behind bars.
A womans word is all it takes. And the burden of proving your innocence lies solely on you. And even if you should succeed chances are that they will send you away anyway. So you gotta ask yourself. Is a few minutes in heaven worth a couple of years in hell?

No theories, no speculation, just plain facts. Pieces of a puzzle buildt mainly from the big timeline done by Operation want. The parts in red have been added. I doubt the whole truth about the Julian Assange affair will ever be made public. But there should certainly be enough facts in this timeline to keep hordes of nosy journalists busy for a long time.
This timeline is of course still lacking a lot of bits and pieces here and there. Hopefully though everyone will find bits of information in it, still new to them. I will of course add new relevant information to it as often as possible. Everyone reading this that has information should feel free to share it here.
Regarding the information about the Swedish corporation Investor AB and it's owners in the mighty Swedish Wallenberg family , the possible connection is explained in further detail on the official Anonymous operation want homepage. http://e-worldwar.com/~/index.php/politics/opwant
This is truly an intriguing story when you read it in a somewhat chronological order. I do not claim that all facts and events stated below are related to Julian Assange and the way he has been handled by swedish authorities. Not many have that information, and the few that do will never willingly share it, These are just facts. The reader will have to draw their own conclusions.
The absurdity of this case is nothing new to all of us that previously have become victims of a swedish justice system that is suffering from severe genderbias and corruption, but it gives us a bit of hope that it is visualised in this way. A justice system is something not many care about until the day they themselves get a taste of it. In Sweden as in most democracies the absolute majority never will. That is probably the biggest reason it can go on like this year after year. No one cares about the cries for justice from inside Swedish jails. The day it happens to you, you will be powerless.

In early August, Julian Assange goes to Sweden, possibly to explore basing the organization there. Sweden has very good journalistic shield and media protection laws. Iceland had been the previous base—and a WikiLeaks holding company, Sunshine Press, is still based there. By Assange’s account, the sway of the US over Iceland’s politics made the country unsuitable for the organisation.
August 11th Julian Assange arrives in Stockholm, Sweden. Anna Ardin offers him accommodation in her apartment while she is out of town.
August 12th Reporter Without Boarders, a National Endowment for Democracy funded front group, sends an open letter to Assange: ‘‘A bad precedent for the Internet’s future’’.
August 13th Assange moves into Ardin’s Stockholm apartment.
August 14th Anna Ardin returns home early and goes out to dinner with Assange.
Later they have sex.
August 15th Assange delivers his seminar speech and meets Sofia Wilen who tags along for lunch with friends. That evening, Ardin hosts a party for Assange at her home. From the party Ardin tweets, “i’m with the most important, exciting people in the world”. Assange texts Wilen from the party.
August 16th Assange goes on the train with Wilen to her apartment Enkoping (Ardin is out of Stockholm during the week) and stays the night. It is the events of this night that will form the basis of the complaint to the police in Wilen’s name. Wilen will later tell police that Assange spent most of the train trip ignoring her and checking his computer

Anna Ardin holds a party for liberation of Islam & Politics.
August 18th or the 19th Ardin and Wilen exchanged texts and arrange to meet. (Unconfirmed: tweets from Wilen are made at this time regarding the events of the previous days. Wilen’s internet presence later disappears so completely that Swedish hacker sites conclude that a professional clean-up job has been performed)
August 20th Ardin and Wilen go to Klara police station in Stockholm to make inquiries about the possibility of forcing Assange to take an STI test. The visit results in charges being filed against Assange.
Police woman Irmeli Krans, (later confirmed to be a personal friend and socialdemocrat party colleague with Anna Ardin, Claes Borgström and his business partner Tomas Bodström), starts the interrogation, but before it is finished, policewoman Linda Wassgren calls the prosecutor Maria Häljebo Kjellstrand and arranges the arrest (anhållan) of Julian Assange.
Maria Häljebo Kjellstrand, unlawfully told the press that Julian was wanted for rape (reported in the tabloid Expressen, owned by Bonniers AB, part of the Investor group. Bonnier AB also own Swedish newspapers Dagens Nyheter, Dagens industri, Sydsvenska dagbladet, Ystad allehanda, Trelleborgs allehanda, Kristianstadsbladet and are part owner of TV channel TV4 ).
Kjellstrand was replaced the next day by prosecutor Eva Finné who invalidated the arrest and stated that the interrogation report showed that no crime had been committed. Not even the weaker of the possible charges. She states that the original interrogation report of Sofia Wilén shows that there was no crime described. This original interrogation was later said to be lost or deleted, and it was never signed by Sofia Wilén. (the interrogation was never finished, Sofia Wiléns distress on hearing about the arrest and rape charge towards Julian Assange made her unable to concentrate.)
Monday the 25th August, two days after the interrogation Irmeli Krans could no longer access the protocol in the police computer system Dur 2. Mats Ghelin then orders Irmeli Krans to write a new report of the above interrogation of Sofia Wilen. (precise references to the original report https://www.flashback.org/sp28605042)
There were early rumors of an internal promemoria among the police protesting the rape charge. This protest was probably coming from Irmeli Krans. Probably, and speculatively, the whole affair at this moment was grasped from the control of Anna Ardin and Irmeli Krans, and into the hands of policeman Mats Gehlin. The same Mats Gehlin that become leader of the investigation from now on, and that continuosly leaks material to the press, and makes public statements to the press where he critisizes prosecutor Eva Finné.
Before Julian himself had been informed. the Prosecutor contravened Swedish privacy and secrecy law, which protects the confidentiality of preliminary criminal investigations and is supposed toprotect those being investigated from adverse and prejudicial media coverage. A complaint was made about the Prosecutor’s illegal act to the Judicial Ombudsman but no action was taken.
Mr Assanges swedish laqwyer Björn Hurtig applied for disclosure of the police file in September and November 2010. Both requests for disclosure were denied by the Prosecutor, Ms Ny, despite the
fact that some of this material had already been provided to the press.
August 21st The arrest warrant is withdrawn. Chief Prosecutor of Stockholm, Eva Finne, threw out the rape charge after reviewing the police file and the statements of the two women. The investigation continued on lesser allegations of harassment only.
Ardin gives an anonymous interview to swedish tabloid Aftonbladet
August 22st "It is clearly a smear campaign ... the only question is who was involved. We can have some suspicions about who would benefit, but without direct evidence I would not be willing to make a direct allegation."
The lawyer for the two women, Claes Borgstrom, was retained by his clients on August 22nd. This was a Sunday. A high profile lawyer like Claes Borgström would normaly be very hard to reach for any client on a Sunday. This means either Anna Ardin reached him via her political contacts, or he saw the case and jumped on it himself.
At this time though, all suspicions of criminal wrongdoing had been dropped against Julian. That means that the women did not have the right to retain a free public attorney as plaintiffs. That right was given to them first on September 1st, when Marianne Ny reopened the case.
Claes Borgström, must therefore have been retained as a defence attorney by the women on Sunday the 22nd. Why? Was it anger over Eva Finnés decision to drop the charges? No. That question is answered by Claes Borgström himself in Washington post:'Asked whose initiative it was to appeal - his or the women's - Borgström demurred, citing client confidentiality. However, he said the women didn't even know it was possible to appeal a prosecutor's decision until he told them.'
So for some unknown reason the women, on Sunday the 22, one day after Eva Finnés decision to drop the rape charges, privately hired a very expensive defence attorney, and in such a hurry it couldn't even wait until monday.
August 23rd Anna Ardin reported to be on sick leave.
August 24 th Swedish (socialdemocrat) feminist blog Rebella, which is run by Ardin and others, posts a long article by Sara Gunnerud entitled “even Wikileaks heroes can do crappy things”. During this week, there is a great deal of blogosphere attention to an item on Ardin’s blog, a “7-step guide to revenge on ex-lovers”.
The Rebella blogarticle was later edited by Sara Gunnerud. She states her reasons in an e-mail: "This article has gotten a lot of readers and attention, and the first version, I think took what the women say they have endured a bit too lightly. Hence the change. It was a while ago now, but I seem to recall that it was in early December. "
The original version:
This can involve something as simple as two women who wanted to find out if it was possible to make someone get tested for sexually transmitted diseases. And police officers that did their jobs and saw something wrong in the women's story about a sexual partner who ignored their agreement on protected sex with condoms without their knowledge or consent.
This can involve something as simple as two women who wanted to stand up for their right to their bodies, who did not accept sexual abuse and therefore reported it.
Probably the change was made to harmonize with the nationwide #prataomdet (#talk about it) campaign that appeared a few days after the editing of the blog.
August 27th Claes Borgström lodges an appeal to a special department in the public prosecutions office. Mr Borgstrom is a Social Democrat politician who was, at that time, campaigning for election in the election to be held the following month (September 2010) and whose political platform and reputation is closely associated with sexual offence law reform.
Claes Borgstrom is a business partner of Thomas Bodstrom who as the former justice minister that was involved in the secret, high-level Swedish cooperation with the CIA in handing over asylum seekers to be tortured in Egypt in the CIA rendition programme.
August 30th Borgstrom approached Marianne Ny, who is the head of a special unit in
Gothenburg, Sweden’s second city, 200 kilometers from Stockholm. Ny heads a special “crime development unit” and is a specialist in the development of sex crime law.
Marianne Ny at this time no longer work as an operative prosecutor. That she personally takes on a case is very rear. This was the only one in 2010. Ms Ny was also a member of the state appointed committee who in 2008 made a preparatory legislation regarding harder sexlaws in Sweden.
Some suggestions by the commitee were:
August 31st Assange is questioned by police for about an hour in Stockholm and formally told of the allegations against him. Assange applies for a work and residency permit in Sweden. The permit would be essential to his plan to found WikiLeaks as a media company in Sweden, with full
protection of media shield laws.
Some day during this week Claes Borgström contacts Marianne Ny and ask her hold off the decision about reopening the rapecase since "new material" had been found and sent to the state crime lab in Linköping. This later turned out to be the broken condom that was allegedly used by Julian Assange on the 14th of August . For some reason Anna Ardin still was in possession of it after 12 days. The condom showed no trace of DNA from Julian Assange. And what is even more conspicuous is the it did not show any trace of DNA from Ms Ardin either. Witch is absolutely impossible had this condom actually been used the way she claims.
September 1st Director of Prosecutions Marianne Ny says she is reopening the rape investigation against Mr. Assange. The Prosecution continued to provide information about the preliminary investigation to the press. Expressen applied for access to the police file on 1 September and this
was granted: redacted versions of Julian’s statement and emails between the police and prosecutor were provided to the press shortly thereafter. At some point in September, Ardin deleted from her blog the seven-step guide to get revenge on a ex-lover.
September 7th Birgitta Jonsdottir says Assange should step aside as a spokesman forWikileaks.
Swedish police raided seven locations, including PRQ, a Swedish Internet service provider believed to be the Internet service provider for The Pirate Bay, a popular BitTorrent search engine, and Wikileaks, a site dedicated to receiving information from whistle-blowers.

September 19th Swedish national election are held. The winning Moderate party is a client of former chief of staff in the Bush administration Karl Rove
Sofia Wiléns aunt is reportedly Marie Wilén. She was a Member of Parliament (centerpartiet) 1994 - 1998 and thus she knows Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist, a member of the Centre party's board in 1998, and later kanslichéf (chief of staff). He stated private family reasons. He has now decided to stay there permanently. He says he aims for a place in congress for the democrats. Quite a political leap for a swedish social democrat who is a left wing socialistic party that sings the internationale on their yearly celebration of the 1 of May.

Used to set an example
"Often the best source of information about waste, fraud, and abuse in government, is an existing government employee committed to public integrity and willing to speak out. Such acts of courage and patriotism, which can sometimes save lives and often save taxpayer dollars, should be encouraged rather than stifled."
Right now, Wikileaks whistleblower Bradley Manning is being tortured in a US military prison for showing exactly this kind of valor and courage. 117 781 people has so far signed the Avaaz petition to stop the torture of Bradley Manning. I urge all of you to do the same.
Manning is subjected to utter isolation that can drive many people insane, with short periods each day where he is stripped naked and abused by jeering inmates.
Manning is awaiting trial for releasing secret military documents to Wikileaks – including a video of US soldiers massacring Iraqi civilians. And his brutal treatment appears to be part of an intimidation campaign to silence whistleblowers and crack down on Wikileaks. The US government is split on this issue, with diplomats publicly criticizing the military for Manning's treatment, but President Obama has stood aside so far.
Obama cares about the US's global reputation - we need to show him that it's at stake here. Let's build a massive global call to the US government to stop torturing Manning and uphold the law. Sign the petition below -- our message will be delivered through hard-hitting ads and actions in Washington DC as soon as we reach 250,000 signatures:
Cruel and unusual punishment is unconstitutional in all democratic states
On paper the United States opposes torture. The US Constitution forbids “cruel and unusual punishment". And, along with almost a hundred other countries, the US has signed an international convention promising to treat all prisoners “with humanity and with respect for the inherent dignity of the human person”. But today, Bradley Manning is utterly isolated in a cell without sheets, not allowed to exercise and is being subjected to brutal humiliation that is causing serious mental harm. This violates US and international law.
Bradley is being held under 'prevention of injury' status despite 16 reports from military mental health professionals that he should be removed from these severe conditions. His lawyers are trying to enforce his basic Constitutional and international human rights in court, but so far the military tribunal responsible for Bradley’s fate has ignored his suffering.
Military tribunal pass swift sentences
They want Manning to implicate Julian Assange
Former president George W Bush said that history would be his judge. So far when it comes to closed military tribunals, secret detention centers, illegal torture, illegal surveillance, holding prisoners without trial and lying to the people, the new administration gives W straight A:s.
But is it legal? Can we really do that to people? YES WE CAN!
There has been a crack down on Wikileaks since the explosive revelations of US military crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq. Many speculate that this brutal pressure on Bradley is intended to force him to implicate WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. But Obama promised Americans and the world that he would protect, not persecute, whistleblowers:
Bradley's cruel treatment does exactly the opposite and sends a chilling message to others who may want to expose important information. Let's act quickly to put massive international pressure on the United States government to honor its commitment to human rights and the protection of whistleblowers and end the shockingly cruel treatment of their own citizen. Sign the petition!!
Patriot used to mean something ellse
Manning: The world had a right to know
Bradley Manning claims he is a patriot and has admitted to releasing information that he felt the world had a right to know.
While reasonable people can argue about the approach of Wikileaks and the the rights or wrongs of those who delivered information to them, the illegal torture of Bradley Manning, who has yet to receive a fair trial or be convicted of any crime, is a shameful violation of human rights and human dignity.

The support for Bradley Manning is strong also in the United States.
One group that is vividly starting to question the treatment of private Manning are his fellow veterans of the United states armed forces.
This is a recent letter to the Quantico marine base commander. The one writing is former Quantico commander and Korean war veteran David C. MacMichael. The man that blew the whistle in the Iran-contras scandal.
One has to ask. How much humiliation can the US and Swedish governments take? Do they really think it's possible to put the genie back in the bottle once it's out? They are knee deep in shit and yet they don't even seem to be able to smell it. Astonishing!
From David C. MacMichael. January 19, 2011
Dear Commandant of the Marine Corps General James F. Amos:
As a former regular Marine Corps captain, a Korean War combat veteran, now retired on Veterans Administration disability due to wounds suffered during that conflict, I write you to protest and express concern about the confinement in the Quantico Marine Corps Base brig of US Army Pfc. Bradley Manning.
Manning, if the information I have is correct, is charged with having violated provisions of the Uniform Code of Military Justice by providing to unauthorized persons, among them specifically one Julian Assange and his organization Wikileaks, classified information relating to US military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and State Department communications. This seems straightforward enough and sufficient to have Manning court-martialed and if found guilty sentenced in accordance with the UCMJ.
What concerns me here, and I hasten to admit that I respect Manning’s motives, is the manner in which the legal action against him is being conducted. I wonder, in the first place, why an Army enlisted man is being held in a Marine Corps installation. Second, I question the length of confinement prior to conduct of court-martial. The sixth amendment to the US Constitution, guaranteeing to the accused in all criminal prosecutions the right to a speedy and public trial, extends to those being prosecuted in the military justice system. Third, I seriously doubt that the conditions of his confinement—solitary confinement, sleep interruption, denial of all but minimal physical exercise, etc.—are necessary, customary, or in accordance with law, US or international.
Marine Corps Brig, Quantico
"Equal treatment under the law is one of those american principles that the marine corps exists to protect"
Indeed, I have to wonder why the Marine Corps has put itself, or allowed itself to be put, in this invidious and ambiguous situation. I can appreciate that the decision to place Manning in a Marine Corps facility may not have been one over which you had control. However, the conditions of his confinement in the Quantico brig are very clearly under your purview, and, if I may say so, these bring little credit either to you or your subordinates at the Marine Corps Base who impose these conditions.
It would be inappropriate, I think, to use this letter, in which I urge you to use your authority to make the conditions of Pfc. Manning’s confinement less extreme, to review my Marine Corps career except to note that my last duty prior to resigning my captain’s commission in 1959 was commanding the headquarters company at Quantico. More relevantly, during the 1980s, following a stint as a senior estimates officer in the CIA, I played a very public role as a “whistleblower “ in the Iran-contra affair. At that time, I wondered why Lt.Col. Oliver North, who very clearly violated the UCMJ—and, in my opinion, disgraced our service—was not court-martialed.
When I asked the Navy’s Judge-Advocate General’s office why neither North nor Admiral Poindexter were charged under the UCMJ, the JAG informed me that when officers were assigned to duties in the White House, NSC, or similar offices they were somehow not legally in the armed forces. To my question why, if that were the case, they continued to draw their military pay and benefits, increase their seniority, be promoted while so serving, and, spectacularly in North’s case, appear in uniform while testifying regarding violations of US law before Congress, I could get no answer beyond, “That’s our policy.”
This is not to equate North’s case with Manning. It is only to suggest that equal treatment under the law is one of those American principles that the Marine Corps exists to protect. This is something you might consider.
David C. MacMichael
US Army veteran tears off his ribbons in protest
President Obama, Enough! Shame on you for treating your countries heroes this way. How can you even bare to look at your Nobel peace prize?
Bradley Manning is now said to be in a catatonic state, after having been submitted to continuous torture and inhumane treatment by his own gouvernment. Further down you can all see for yourselves the methods being used. How can anyone, even if they don't agree with what Bradley Manning has done, support this?
In 2005, General Peter Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said: "It is absolutely the responsibility of every U.S. service member, if they see inhumane treatment being conducted, to try to stop it."
Apparently those rules do not apply and never did, when it comes to their own US soldiers who dare to tell the truth about warcrimes committed by their own gouvernment. The torture of Bradley Manning continues. Probably they are pressuring him to try to reveal the connection between him and Julian Assange so they can fry him too.
That's probably also why the Swedish prosecutors were in no hurry to arrest or question Julian Assange after the sexcrime accusations last year. The US allies needed more time to work on Manning. Well they seem to have done a pretty good job of it.
The whole world is laughing at Sweden and it's ridiculous justice system, but what do the Swedish media do? They laugh right back at the rest of the world, for being so dumb that they don't realize that Sweden is the most superior country in the world. That is, sadly a common Swedish trait.
Do you remeber the scandal in Abu Ghiraib? Do you remember who took the fall for it? Eleven soldiers were convicted in courts martial, sentenced to military prison, and dishonorably discharged from service. Two soldiers, Specialist Charles Graner, and his former fiancée, Specialist Lynndie England, were sentenced to ten years and three years in prison, respectively, in trials ending on January 14, 2005 and September 26, 2005. But the big guys walked as usual. Rumsfeldt, Bush, Chaney, all innocent little lambs.
Bark little doggie!! Voff voff
Bradley is the true patriot
Americans are told it's unpatriotic not to support the war in Iraq and Afganisthan. It's unpatriotic to reveal secrets about gross warcrimes to the public. Then you deserve to die or to be tortured to the brink of insanity. Then you are a traitor.
Well I am not an american, but I do know a little about the american constitution, and especially the bill of rights. About the freedoms the founding fathers fought for and gave their people, and it is a beautiful document. Just like the european declaraiton of human rights. The founding fathers would have been proud of private Bradley Manning. He is the true patriot, wanting to protect the values and pride of America against greedy warmongers and murderers. This is the way they thank him.
People like Sarah Palin think it's justified to kill american patriots like Bradley Manning.
Thank god she didn't become vicepresident. She is a person that should give any sane human being chills.
Some of the basic individual rights of all Americans and Europeans: Freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of assembly, the right to personal privacy, and the ban of punishment of anyone without a due process of law!
Neither Bradley Manning or Julian Assange have been charged with any crimes! Still they are being held in captivity and tortured!
I can't believe the media just stand idly by while this is happening right in front of their eyes. Still most of the information comes from, what I guess can be called, "the resistance". Blogs, and hackers that won't stand by while they take away our rights one by one. And where the hell are Amnesty International? Swedish Amnesty have not said a word as far as I know. They are only concerned with rights for women these days. Shame on all of you. You are being paid to do this job, but leave it to people doing it for free.
Can you stomach seeing the CIA interrogation methods?
What's wrong with these people?
Secret CIA documents from 2004, shows the CIA instructions on how to "break" a prisoner.
"To hell with human rights", said Bush. "Yes to hell with them" said Rumsfeldt, "Yep" said Chaney. And the CIA issued new instructions to it's interrogators.
America is at war with terror, then everything goes.
Below are the CIA documents. Can you imagine being an interrogator? Having to apply these methods to human beings? Can you imagine being the one having to do the "dirty work"?
If I had a choise, I would rather be the prisoner than the interrogator. To me it would not be humanly possible to treat anyone like this. No matter what they had done. I couldn't do it, or live with myself afterwards.
But there seem to be people cut out for this, and it doesn't seem to be a question of gender either. This is being done right now by federal employees in the worlds "greatest democracy", against one of their own soldiers, who put his life on the line to defend not just America, but also the the human rights in the whole world.
Please stop this. It's not worthy of a state that claim to defend freedom and democracy.
